Google Map on Apple Watch: Google Maps is now available on Apple Watch

Internet search giant Google today made two new announcements regarding its Google maps platform for iOS users.
First, Google has reintroduced the Google Maps application for Apple Watch. For those who don’t know, this was rolled out in 2017, however, it was removed without citing reasons. Now the support has been rolled out again and users will be able to use the Google Maps app on Apple watch to navigate by car, bicycle, public transport or on foot.
In addition, it will show users an estimated arrival time and step-by-step directions to the destinations they have previously saved, such as home and work. For unregistered locations, users will need to start browsing from your phone, but they will be able to continue to see it on their Apple Watch. The Google Maps application for the Apple watch begins to roll out worldwide in the coming weeks, the company said in a blog post.
The second announcement that Google has made concerns CarPlay. Google Maps is now compatible with the dashboard view on Apple CarPlay screens.
In the CarPlay dashboard, users will now be able to toggle or pause songs from their media app, rewind or fast forward podcasts or audiobooks, or view calendar appointments without leaving detailed navigation in Google Maps. Users will be able to access information in split screen mode. Google Maps on CarPlay Dashboard starts rolling out this week with the next iOS update.
